I worked at Lutherwood in late 70's. I will never forget these years. Keep up the good work. I moved outside of Waterloo region in early 80's... Blessings for many more years Lutherwood

I first came to Lutherwood on a contract to help them set up their communications and marketing processes. I only planned to stay for a couple of years. Thirteen years later, I am still here because I am so impressed by the care and dedication demonstrated by our tireless staff and the resolve shown by so many of our clients as they work toward their goals. It is the satisfaction derived through the simple act of helping people that motivates me each day, and I know I am joined by many others in this respect. It is no wonder this organization has grown from serving 14 teenagers in year one, to annually serving 16,000 some 50 years later! Congratulations to all who made Lutherwood what it is today!

As a fairly new employee at Lutherwood (June 2019), I feel so privileged to not only be a part of this incredible organization, but to be able to participate in its 50th Anniversary and sharing its stories. Interviewing past and present staff, board members, donors, volunteers and clients to create both written and video testimonials has been a pleasure. Hearing person after person, no matter how connected they are to Lutherwood or how long ago that connection began, everyone says the same things. Lutherwood is an incredible place that values everyone in our community, treats us with respect and helps us to grow and live the lives they were always meant to. I hope my small part in all of this will be like a pebble in a pond, creating a ripple big enough so that maybe, just maybe, when we're celebrating our 100th anniversary, my story will be one of the ones to be featured in the tapestry of our legacy. Happy 50th anniversary Lutherwood, and thank you so much for bringing me into this fold, letting me be completely and unapologetically myself, and for giving me my dream job at an organization that actually makes a positive difference in the community.

What a great journey back in time it has been, fitting together the pieces of Lutherwood's 50 year history! I am pleased to be part of capturing and preserving the memories, stories and photographs that have been fondly shared with us by the many friends of this great organization.
