Room To Breathe

Room To Breathe is a movie about using mindfulness in a challenging school environment. With a backdrop of high stress and anxiety levels, limited student focus and increasing suspensions and dropouts, overwhelmed administrators introduce mindfulness to provide students with the social, emotional and attentional skills that they need to succeed.

Following the movie screening, a panel (youth who uses mindfulness on himself, a parent who uses mindfulness with her children, a teacher who uses mindfulness in class and a clinician who uses mindfulness in her practice) will discuss their experiences with mindfulness and introduce participants to mindfulness practices that parents/caregivers can try at home.

Admission is free and seating is limited. Click to Register.

Presented in partnership with Carizon, KW Counselling, CMHA-WW, Waterloo Region District School Board, Waterloo Catholic District School Board and Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council.#WRBEWELL
