No child should feel alone this holiday season

Red Christmas Retail Instagram Post 6

Prior to March 2020, an estimated 26,000 children and youth in Waterloo Region struggled with mental health concerns. With the effects of COVID-19, we can only imagine what those numbers are now.

In this current ‘virtual world’, human contact is what children crave the most. Wishing they could hug their grandparents. Missing the ease of a gathering of friends. Concerned with what this new normal means for their future. Overwhelmed by the loneliness that social distancing creates.

You can help these kids know that they are not alone.

The generosity that Lutherwood receives from the community — from people just like you — helps to provide stability in how we deliver our programs. That generosity provides a safe and compassionate place for children and their families to turn to in crisis. Your support enables Lutherwood to bridge the gap in government funding and deliver the services that help these children find brighter futures.

We are very grateful for all the support we have received, but the need for Lutherwood’s services is growing and restrictions on special events and community engagement has meant a loss of fundraised dollars. So we need your support now more than ever.

Your support will give kids hope
