Lutherwood's annual Bridging the Gap Conference helps newcomers to Canada find professional employment in their occupational field.

A panel composed of four professionals with different backgrounds will discuss how the Canadian Work Experience can be a barrier for newcomers. Each panelist will offer advice on establishing a strategy to overcome this challenge.

Tom Lusis, PhD
County Of Wellington’s Economic Development division
Tom advises employers about economic immigration programs and practices to enhance global talent retention. He is also working with local post-secondary institutions, the settlement sector and ethno-cultural groups to increase awareness about employment opportunities in Wellington County.


Dina Zaki
Dina is a Market Recruiter at Cargill, a food corporation with 155,000 employees and present in 70 countries. Dina was an experienced HR Manager in Egypt and established a successful career in her area as a newcomer to Canada.
