For more than 30 years, we have been supporting employers with their, hiring and training needs. We understand how crucial it is to find, keep and train the right people for the job, and how costly and time consuming the recruitment process can be. If you are an employer looking to hire, onboard or train staff, we can help.

We provide individualized service to people looking for employment. Services to both job seekers and employers are free, funded by the Federal and Provincial Governments. Our Employment Consultants establish, develop and maintain relationships with employers to match the needs of both employers and job seekers.

FREE Recruitment Support

  • Post jobs for free on our Facebook Job Boards and in our Resource Centres
  • Use our meeting space to conduct interviews and job fairs
  • Have an Employment Consultant post your positions, accept applications, pre-screen qualified candidates and refer qualified candidates based on your needs and the job requirements

Training Incentives for New Employees

Getting new employees up to speed can be an expensive endeavor. Training incentives are available to offset the initial training costs associated with a new employee. Funded by the Ontario government, these incentives are accessible to eligible individuals currently participating in a number of our employment programs.

Government Supported Skills Training

Looking to provide training to your current staff that will increase their skills? The Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG) provides financial support to help Ontario your workforce through training. Check out our COJG page for more information.

Apprenticeship

Our experienced Employment Consultants can provide resources that will support you in navigating the apprenticeship process. We provide financial incentives to employers to register and retain new apprentices, and we link employers to information on tax credits and subsidies.

Downsizing and Closure Services (Outplacement)

Lutherwood’s qualified team of professionals assists individuals affected by permanent layoffs and closures. Skilled staff will provide the assistance necessary to help individuals prepare for their upcoming job search. Services are available within Waterloo Region and Wellington County, and are coordinated throughout Southwestern Ontario with other employment agencies to ensure capacity.
