Lutherwood is a progressive, not-for-profit health and social service organization that strengthens people's lives by providing mental health, employment and housing services in Waterloo Region and Wellington County to more than 19,600 people annually regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual identity ( Luther Village on the Park is subsidiary of Lutherwood located in Uptown Waterloo where almost 500 residents live both independently and in supported living suites. Luther Village is not part of a chain, and therefore operates as a single-site provider in the retirement sector.

Luther Village was built on the philosophy of "aging-in-place", an approach to seniors' care which is intended to assist residents in maintaining their independence and dignity. We are seeking an experienced ordained Chaplain for a 12-month renewable contract. The contract will run from July 15th, 2022 to June 14th, 2023 with an optional one-year renewable term. The following multi-denominational Christian-based services will be offered through this contract: Coordinates, facilitates, and conducts a weekly worship services to residents (45-minutes in length with piano playing during service); prepares, prints and distributes weekly bulletins; collects donations from participants and provides to the Front Desk for deposit; tracks number of participants for each service and provides a monthly summary as required; leads Bible Study series bi-weekly (45-minutes in length); provides one-to-one pastoral and spiritual care services to residents when requested by residents, their families or staff (3 hours per week with a private meeting space available for booking); and coordinates with the Activity Coordinators to provide programming information to be included on monthly calendars.
