Child and Youth Counsellor I (Nights)
Undertakes various Child and Youth Care Worker duties in the assigned service area and works with the Primary Youth Worker, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Assists with recreational and skills development programming, working individually with clients and/or in a group format. Supports the sustainability of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Working night shifts.
Relief Worker, Child and Parent Place
Operates the Child and Parent Place Centre during child and parent supervised visits and exchanges. Facilitates visits and exchanges between high-conflict parents.
Student Employment Assistant
As a member of the Employment Services Department, works with the Youth Job Connect Summer and Youth Job Link programs, assisting youth to secure and maintain summer employment. Collects, records, maintains and files data on clients, employers and programs to accurately manage training subsidies. Assists with providing information and support to all clients using the Resource Centre. Attends job fairs and information sessions.
These positions are contingent on approved funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program (CSJ). CSJ is an initiative to help young people between the ages of 15 and 30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to transition successfully into the labour market. Note: Two positions per site. Fluency in Tigrinya is a strong asset for the positions in Guelph.
Information Technology Student
There are two full-time contract positions available, starting May 1, 2019 and ending August 31, 2019, working 37.50 hours per week.
These positions are to help young people between the ages of 15 and 30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to transition successfully into the labour market.
The Information Technology Student will provide support to the Service Desk Technician. This position will ensure proper technology equipment operation. This position is primarily responsible for imaging/re-imaging, configuring and deployment of workstations. The position will assist the agency-wide corporate helpdesk with providing onsite and remote computer technical support for agency staff. This position will be required to regularly visit various site locations.
