Mediation is an opportunity for people involved in a dispute to work with a neutral third party to help them find common interests, brainstorm for options and reach agreement.

Mediation Can Help
Mediation is available through Lutherwood Family Counselling Services to:
- Design parenting plans following separation and divorce, including issues of custody, time with the children and developing ways to co-parent effectively with respect to household expectations, discipline and children's activities;
- Adapt or amend parenting plans;
- Develop an arrangement for spousal and/or child support;
- Negotiate division of assets upon dissolution of marriage, common law relationship or other partnership.
Mediation is also a good way for families to resolve issues arising out of a will or to discuss succession and estate planning issues.
Mediation can be very effective in workplace settings to:
- Resolve conflict;
- Support the resolution process for harassment or other complaints;
- Resolve relational and team dynamic issues; or
- Deal with change arising out of down-sizing or cutbacks.

"Lutherwood Family Counselling helps people with coping skills and support. We provide practicum placements for students, which is how I began in 1997. I enjoy working at Lutherwood; it is a great place because of the people, both the staff and the clients."
