Whatever It Takes (WIT) Service Resolution

Whatever It Takes (WIT) Service Resolution

Whatever It Takes (WIT) Service Resolution is one of the Region of Waterloo's Supports to End Persistent Homelessness (STEP Home) programs. Referrals come from community members and social service agencies that have contact with people at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. WIT engages individuals and service providers to learn what housing situations have and have not been successful for a person, and what challenges impact the person's housing stability. Efforts are made to connect a participant with supports to assist in their housing search, and to co-create proactive housing plans for tenancy maintenance. If other funding avenues have been explored and exhausted, WIT has a pool of flexible funding that can be drawn upon to best support each participant's path beyond homelessness. Lessons learned during the housing and re-housing process underpin efforts to address system level barriers to housing stability.
