UpTown Dining "It's to Dine For!"
As a recipient of the event hosted by the UpTown Waterloo Business Improvement Area on September 13th, the Lutherwood Child and Family Foundation received over $6000 from the proceeds!

The event was an extraordinary walking/tasting tour of a selection of UpTown Waterloo's dining establishments. Ten restaurants and one coffee house participated that Sunday and deserve the credit when it comes to the success of this event. Please join us in thanking: Duke of Wellington, Empress of India, Barley Works (Huether Hotel), Marbles, McMullan's on King, My-Thai, Rude Native Bistro & Lounge, Sole Restaurant & Wine Bar, Tyrone T, Whole Lot-A Gelata, and the morning coffee provider, Starbucks.
Summer Golf Tournament Success
On Monday the 24th, BMO Nesbitt Burns put on a golf tournament to benefit Lutherwood. The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone who came enjoyed themselves. The day’s event brought in an exciting $12,205.09!
We were lucky enough to have a youth from Lutherwood speak during dinner, and the room was captivated while he spoke. His personal story made a lasting impression on everyone present, and it could not have been made any other way. A special thanks goes out to him for sharing his powerful story, exemplifying the amazing work that is done here at Benjamin Road by both staff and clients.
Stantec: Great Neighbours & Great Friends
Stantec, located two blocks from the Betty Thompson Centre in downtown Kitchener has been a wonderful neighbor. Not only have they provided us with cash donations to help he centre with operating costs but staff came up with a new way of giving to help the youth – grocery gift cards! If you would like to support youth or families in need, you can send us a gift card with the original purchase receipt for the value of the card, we can issue you a charitable tax receipt for the full amount. Stantec also provided us with $5000 to purchase an industrial dishwasher for the shelter.
