The Job Search Workshop (JSW) program helps immigrants get information about their occupational field and get ready to work in Canada. Program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Job Search Workshop for Immigrants
Participants meet with an Employment Advisor to answer the following questions:
- Am I ready to look for work?
- What are my challenges in finding work where I live?
- What are my next steps?
Some participants will participate in 5-day group sessions to answer the following questions:
- What are Canadian employers looking for?
- How does my experience fit in Canada?
- What are the job opportunities for me in Guelph or other communities?
- Do I know how to job search in Canda?
- How will a targeted resume and cover letter help me?
- How do I market myself to a company in an interview?
- Who do I need to meet and what are my next steps?
Referrals
Permanent resident, convention refugee, or live-in caregiver status is required to participate. For more information or to book an appointment with an Employment Advisor, please contact staff at our Guelph location.
