Lutherwood’s qualified team of professionals assists individuals affected by permanent layoffs and closures. Skilled staff will provide the assistance necessary to help individuals prepare for the new economy. Services are available throughout Southwestern Region and are co-ordinated with other employment agencies to ensure capacity.
Resources
Many of our services can be provided on-site when a workplace is closing. Services include:
- Telephone access
- Computers for developing or updating resumes and cover letters
- Internet access
- Access to fax and photocopy machines
- Individual employment counselling assistance
- Printing resources such as industrial, career and job search materials
- Message service for individuals without access to a telephone
How Can We Help?
- Assess workers’ needs and design action plans to address those needs.
- Assist workers to deal with workplace layoffs.
- Provide career transition assistance and hands-on searches into the new economy.
- Provide individual employment and career guidance.
- Assist adjustment committee and companies set up the required resources to assist employees.
- Several career assessments are available including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB)
