Gibson's Sound and Vision TV Donation

WATERLOO, January 5, 2012 – Lutherwood thanks Ed and Stu Gibson and the entire Gibson’s Sound and Vision staff for their generous donation of a 40” flat screen TV to our Safe Haven youth shelter. From all of us at Lutherwood, thank you CTV and Gibson’s Sound and Vision for making Christmas just a bit brighter for kids in our community.
 

Compass Program Returns

Starting January 3, 2012 - Ending January 3, 2017

WATERLOO, January 4, 2012 - Lutherwood is pleased to announce that our COMPASS program has returned. COMPASS supports 16 – 30 year olds who are looking to find and maintain meaningful employment. Funded through Service Canada, this comprehensive two-part program provides young workers with an opportunity to enhance skills and gain hands-on work experience in a construction or trade field.

ACCESS Youth Program Accepting Applicants

WATERLOO, January 4, 2012 - Lutherwood 's ACCESS program is now accepting applications. ACCESS is designed to help individuals with learning and behavioural challenges between the ages of 15 and 30, find and maintain employment.

Guelph Job Fair Connects Job Seekers with Employers

October 14, 2011 — With Guelph’s 4.3 percent unemployment rate considerably better than the provincial rate, Lutherwood is hosting a Job Fair to help connect an anticipated 250 job seekers about 15 local employers that are hiring.

Cambridge Job Fair Connects Job Seekers with Employers

Cambridge, ON - With Waterloo Region’s 6.7 percent unemployment rate bettering the provincial rate, Lutherwood is hosting a Job Fair to help connect between 250-500 job seekers with 20 local employers that are hiring.

RBC Announces $20,000 Grant To Recognize Lutherwood For Their Commitment To Children’s Mental Health

Waterloo, September 30, 2011 — RBC today announced that Lutherwood is one of 108 organizations from across the country to receive an RBC Children’s Mental Health Grant. Lutherwood will receive $20,000 to help expand their Children’s Mental Health Centre to accommodate specialized treatment programs. RBC’s donation is part of a larger $1.5 million commitment to Children’s Mental Health programs across Ontario South West. 

Blood Brothers Oktoberfest Event Almost Sold Out

Speakers Series at Children's Mental Health Centre

Shh… It’s Mental Health - our popular four seminar series - features our own experts and partners in the community as we support family, friends and neighbours who want to help teens dealing with mental health issues.
