Waterloo, ON (April 13, 2010) – Lutherwood has been identified as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces and as one of the top 10 Best Workplaces for Women by the Great Place to Work Institute of Canada.
“Being a top workplace isn’t just about providing a great environment for our employees,” said Lutherwood CEO John Colangeli. “It is about creating a healthy and supportive culture that encourages professional development, emphasizes a healthy work-life balance and supports staff so they can provide service excellence to our clients. This award is a wonderful affirmation that we are moving in the right direction.”

The annual Great Place to Work survey researched more than 220 Canadian companies ranging in size from 50 to 50,000 employees from all sectors. A key part of the survey is the response to the questionnaire all permanent employees were asked to complete last fall. The survey assesses of how the organization is doing from the employee perspective and then benchmarks the results against other organizations. The survey audited our human resources policies, procedures and practices and our resulting culture. More information on the survey and award is available on their website at www.greatplacetowork.ca.
Lutherwood is a not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of children’s mental health, employment, housing and family counselling programs. Lutherwood annually serves more than 18,500 people in Waterloo Region and Wellington County.
