Mental Health Services

  • More than 6,000 clients served annually
  • More than 750 children and youth received assessment or treatment services
  • 94% customer service rating based on parent reports
  • Operates 3 residential programs, a school and a centre of excellence for youth
  • Most common mental health issues treated include ADHD, anxiety, conduct disorder, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, attachment disorder and bipolar disorder.

Employment Services

  • 4,300 individuals served
  • 3,000 clients found employment
 

Housing Services

  • 891 individuals and families were provided with direct assistance in addressing housing needs
  • 277 rent back loans were provided to individuals and families facing financial difficulties
  • 231 individuals and families were able to find sustainable housing
 

Family Counselling Services

  • Provides counselling to individuals, couples and families to help them make positive life changes to better manage the fast pace and stress of today’s world
  • An accredited training centre for pastoral counselling education
  • 1,300 individuals served at the centre, in schools and other community settings
 

Betty Thompson Youth Centre

  • Started in 1996, by a group of community agencies acting on their vision of providing a safe, temporary shelter for youth living on the street
  • Named after the late Betty Thompson, a community advocate dedicated to service and children
  • In 2001, the centre faced financial challenges so Lutherwood was invited to find a way to operate the centre on a sustainable financial footing
  • More than 200 youth served annually
  • Safe Haven Shelter
    • 12-15 year old youth at risk of living on the street
    • up to 10 youth
    • Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
    • Goal: to address the needs of youth and help them return home (if appropriate) or find another safe living arrangement.
 

Luther Village on the Park

  • An example of social enterprise, Luther Village on the Park is a retirement community that supports the work of Lutherwood in the community
  • Supports 500 seniors
